During opening hours, we always have hot coffee and a small selection of side dishes. we especially recommend trying the Oat Meal Tart called Guðmundur the Good Bishop. It´s got a story and It´s just fantastic!

Kaffi Hólar offers a variety of dishes made from fresh produce from the local area, and reasonably priced to suit any traveller.
Kaffi Hólar is located within the main building of the University, seating 55 people. It offers a breakfast, lunch buffet and a menu.
Try the arctic char or the lamb tenderloin, you’ll thank us later!
Or, if you have a taste for history, we have a delicious desert inspired by Guðmundur the Good, a 13th century bishop of Hólar who was renowned and reveered for his kindness and hospitality.
